WHO IS BSHA?

UH BSHA was founded as a minority organization for pre-medical and prehealth students.

About Our Organization

BSHA-MAPS (Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students) is dedicated to providing a pre-professional environment for students of color to succeed in their desired health professions including dental, medical, optometry, nursing, pharmacy, or physical therapy. We provide undergraduate students with resources such as networking, education, volunteering, shadowing, and entry-level test preparation for his/her desired field of study.

We strive to expose students to all areas of medicine and health care and to provide opportunities to build long-lasting connections with fellow colleagues and/or professional health staff.

We are a Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) chapter in Region 3 of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA).
